Air pump switches on/of on JCESE CCS Cosmo

Hi to you all,

On the gray Cosmo the airpump behaves strangely: it switches on and off. I'll post a video on Youtube later today.
Any advice on how to repair this would be very much appreciated.

how do u know it switches on and off? whats happening?
there should be a relay for the air pump, try swapping it for another relay and see what happens.

Herewith the video at youtube. You can see and hear the air pump switching on and off. Is the airpump of a 13B Cosmo the same?

ahhhh the 20b air pump has a clutch engagement. totally forgot about that. the 13b air pump has no clutch, i believe it swtiches through the valve on the intake mani.
sound to me like the relay for the clutch has died.... try a new one a see how u go.

about 3 weeks time at Santa Pod Raceway, we usually have a couple of guys from the Eunos Cosmo Club NL drive over,, I did not go last year and I think there was only 1 Cosmo in attendance,, it is mainly RX7's but a good turn out some RX3's as well,, lots of Rotary drag racing so a pretty good weekend, I will pop down for 1 day probably the Saturday

Thank you all again for your support. Due to vacation it will take some weeks before we start repairing the gray car. I'll keep you informed about any progress.

Rotorstock UK: I know Arjan van Roode visted this event with his gray type-E Cosmo, and Kees Hoebeke with the red one. I'll find out whether I have possibilities to visit the U.K.
