I was planning on getting an HKS intake for my mp3, so i did some research on how the filter really did compared to other popular brand name filters.
to see a run down of the test, go to http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/

i hope that you find this information useful in the aiding of picking out your next air filter.

thanks, i try to do my part in adding to the forums.
anyone that has an hks intake i suggest getting rid of it on ebay or something because that looks horrible. go with injen or aem like i am.

damn good post. i've always wanted an apexi filter! now i have a reason to get one. my dad won't b**** that i spent $60+ on a filter either because it's ZERO maintenance. he won't say i'm not frugal enough. hell, he'll prolly go do the same and buy one for himself.

Actually, the others are zero maintenance because they (hah) don't work. You have to clean the Apexi cuz it filters so well it gets dirty!

yes u just have to find the right model number for the design and size pipe u have. usually 2.5 or 3in.

true true!!! but, i have an air compressor so it shouldn't be too hard to clean that thing out. also, it's worth the $60+ cuz you never need to change it. longterm savings.

Hey Face....where are you getting your Apexi filter? I tried a Google search and came up with zip.

you shouldn't use an air compressor unless you want to poke a hole through your filter. use extreme caution when cleaning out your filter with an air compressor. it can be done, but it requires careful light blowing, rather than extreme blasts of compressed air.

adventon are a bunch of mongrals. buy from ebay or optauto hehe

whats wrong with adventon?

anyways im looking at the apex intake but im wondering how can it be cleaned?

For Example,
ADventon:
Injen CAI shipping costs= $~20
Sounddomain:
Same Injen CAI shipping costs =$~10 (~$20 if you want fast shipment), also they have price match, so much cheaper than Adventon.
