Aftermarket seats

Nice seats, but when it comes to safety, I would get a brand that is more reputable. Same with harnesses or seat belts. You don't want the seat to crush you in case of an emergency.

Corbeau, Sparco, Recaro, Bride, just to name a few. Corbeau makes nice seats for a decent price.

Peace

thx for input bro... yeah Sparco was my 1st choice but i'm on tight budget n cant spend to much $$$ :( sucks

peace

Another great alternative is leather seat covers (cat skinz?). At least you can match the entire interior instead of just having front seats. Also, it won't compromise safety and I doubt it'll fade like racing seats do.

Peace

Wow that was weird. I was just looking at aftermarket seats on E-bay just now. So I stopped by here to see how much work I'm getting myself into and I saw this tread on the main page-cool. Hey L8R, if you don't mind me asking- did you install your aftermarket seats yourself or have someone else do it? Also I'd have to get specific seat brackets in order for the sliders correct?

Did it myself :) Not too difficult. Just removed my stock seats (very carefully because the seat rail is large and heavy and it is easy to scratch the interior). The bracket bolts and screws fit to factory specs. You need a specific bracket and sliders for the car. I believe in general, Spraco, Recaro, Bride, and Corbeau mount the same, if the seat is mounted from underneath that is, not side mounts. Again, I think...

I got my brackets and sliders from Corbeau.

For the safety of you and your passengers, please don't waste your money on cheap seats. Mazda spends a lot of money to design a safe seat, don't throw that away for a $100 seat that "looks cool."
