Not sure if this was covered before, but if I start putting on aftermarket parts on my car, will anything happen to any kind of warranty that I have with Mazda? I have a 2003 P5 for about 2 months now paid in full, so how will that affect me?

For instance, if I change things like the exhaust and intake, would they disqualify me? Hope this isn't stupid...

depends on your dealer.... ask them first.

if they are cool with it......then mod away!

your warranty should only be void if the problem is directly caused by whatever mod you do.... if it's not related, then the dealer should honor your warranty

if they disapprove of your mods, then you can always mod it anyway and remove the parts whenever you bring the car in for service.... a lot of trouble but some dealers keep records of any aftermarket parts you got on your car..... so better safe than sorry

hope this helps

yeah it all depends on the dealer. my dealer said that i can do FULL suspention, Full exaust, Intake. but hey what they cant see they dont know about so you could make your car an N/A monster:p

Sheeeesh, didn't even take the time to look up at the recent post by the webmaster on aftermarket warranties! DUUUUHHH... but thanks guys!

glad you finally saw that....I was about to point it out to you... :{D

i believe the law states that as long as the problem was not caused by an aftermarket part it is covered. but you know how dealerships are.........if you upgrade your exhaust and your tranny goes out, they may try to blame it on the exhaust.......
