Just got a new 2016 Cx-5 Sport. Just wondering if there were any head units out there that work with the steering wheel controls and preferrably the center console controls as well. Android Auto would be sweet to have but a good navigation unit would work as well.

I don't think, that there are any good navigation units out there, that work with the center console controls. Steering wheel controls are no problem, with an additional adapter(it's a b**** to set it up, though).

There are some available from sites like Alibaba but they have slow processors and minimal memory. I think I saw one on Youtube and after a couple months, the reviewer posted back saying it was horrible to use. :-( It would be awesome if we could find one that would work though.

Like, for example, here is one:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...60439834268.html?spm=a2700.7724838.0.0.fAafEe

Now, I'm not recommending it, just showing you they are out in the wild....

You know what would be really cool (if I knew how)? Take one of these big screen units from Alibaba and replace the screen portion with a major name tablet, then connect that tablet with the amp and make yourself a car-puter!

With some Chromebooks now supporting Android apps....perhaps we will see something with a little more power & RAM used in one of these cheaper head units?
