Does the BS that has been posted help the originator of this thread?

In one word: No...

Sure he could have said it differently, but the people spreading BS shouldn't have said anything. That would have prevented the offending response.

How about reading the thread before you post. I never said It would work, I said it wouldnt. And for your information moron, I was answering stealth questions.

I did read the the title to thread...And then I saw the crap about the "MP3 MAF and the S-AFC" being used. Then someone else saying use the "Miata MAF."

Then TheMAN's response which you replied to. I replied to you.

I don't care that you are explaining the S-AFC. That part is not BS. The parts of this thread that are have already been covered.

I think you are missing what I am getting at, and then calling me a moron. I don't care about the off-topic explanation of the S-AFC. I do care about the BS saying to use the wrong stuff posted by other people. Other people, not being you.

Calm down and stop trying to flame me for backing up someone else.

I apologize,im the moron. I thought that was aimed at me.

they should just delete the flame posts.. By the way, the apexi AFC-II works on our cars now?? I thought they were still having problems..Hell i'll get one if it works.. By the way, the answer to your question about the MAF is a very..very..extensive one. Shoot me an IM @ KaptainKyle7 and I'll give you the story about our MAF's, throttle bodies, and all things in between.

The second-generation S-AFC is a fuel computer that adjusts fuel/air ratio by modifying the air- flow meter/MAP sensor signal. The S-AFC features a user-definable, eight-point, adjustable fuel curve that can be set in 500 RPM increments. The range of fuel adjustment is +/- 50% at each of the user-defined setting points. On hot-wire vehicles, the Deceleration Air Flow Correction function is capable of curing the erratic idle and stall problems associated with open-atmosphere blow-off valves on hot-wire air-flow meter systems. The S-AFC is capable of monitoring and replaying the following data channels in Numerical, Analog Meter and Graph displays: Intake Manifold Vacuum/Boost Pressure, Air Flow Capacity, Intake Manifold Pressure, Karmann Frequency, Engine RPM, Throttle Position, and Air Flow Correction %

well that came off the apex site. in english please? does it trick the computer into thinking theres a different amount of air coming in or what? more power?

As far as I have heard, the S-AFC II doesn't work neither. For the same reason.

Perfworks was working on this, but I haven't heard the results...

when i brought it to mazda they claimed the sri was the cause of my idling problems(my MAF)....so i dont kno maybe there just tossin me around or whatever

There right and somewhat wrong......its your MAF thats making you idle funny, not your intake. I had the same problem, its because your sensor in your MAF is dirty. Its covered under warranty, so they should swap it out with no problem. That should fix your idling problem.

This is to the "THE MAN" and "Stutters C" I was'nt talking about getting the MP3 MAF I was talking about changing the ECU, Since the MP3 ECU is different from the P5. I did'nt know that the Apexi AFC would not work on our cars that I will admit. but next time ******* read and ask question before you jump to ******* conclusions.

Hmm, nice. I did read what you typed, and maybe, next time, you should clarify in your post first. Instead of just typing out a one liner and expect everyone to instantly understand what it is you are getting at.

And, so you know, the MP3 ECU won't fix his problem. It really isn't that different from the Protege 5. All it has is slightly advanced ignition timing. And, that has nothing to do with the MAF.

I would continue this, but its not worth while.
