Aftermarket Bumpstops

Yes, I've searched, and found nothing specific to this particular topic.

I'm having rear strut problems. Noises/etc.
I'm running Tokico Blues with H&R Springs. I used my stock foam bumpstops, and I'm sure they have fallen apart. I've taken out a few pieces from the boot.

I have found that there are more durable material bumpstops in different diameters/bores/lengths/shapes.etc. energy suspension has them.

which ones would I need? I don't even know the diameter of tokico blues piston.

Stock P5 bump stops are too big for the lower H&R springs. My guess is that you are hitting the bump stops a lot more often then you should. When bump stops do the work of springs, they fall apart.

Easiest solution I think is order OEM MSP bump stops, which are shorter than the P5 ones. Or order a set of OEM P5 bump stops and cut them to half length.

^^^^^^^^^^Yessir, MSP, about 50.00 a set & IIRC, the material is different/better. I just cut my P5 ones then found out about the MSPs so I wasn't willing to take it all back apart just for that. I do have a set of Espelir springs that I want to swap on the car in place of the ones I have and when that happens, the MSP bumpstops will go in.

Well thanks for this information, but $50.00 for MSP bumpstops is a little crazy. I know there are MSP replicas or 'knock-offs' from other companies. What are the sizes/bore/diameter of the MSP ones so I can find some others. Is it bad to continue driving with no bumpstops? I need my car for class tomorrow.

^I personally wouldn't ever drive around without bump stops. One bad pot hole could bottom out a strut and destroy a shock. Just not worth the risk.

To save money, I guess you could order just 2 P5 bump stops, cut them in half to turn them into 4. If the dealer lets you, just order 1 front bump stop and 1 rear bump stop. But I have a feeling they can only be ordered in pairs.

I just picked up 2 MOOG bumpstops for the rear. They have a warranty if you don't cut them. The front ones looked too short though. They were $25 a piece >.< Should I have just got front bumpstops and ran them in the rear? Or just cut these rear ones in half?
