aem mass air flow straightener help!

so last year in april i purchased my first part which was an aem cold air intake. i now realize that it didnt come with an air flow straightener....do i need one in my car? what are peoples opinions on this part for our cars?

no i haven't..but would it help?...i mean its a very inexpensive part

Our intakes aren't designed for the air straightener. The MS3 intake is split before the MAF housing, so they can install the air straightener there, whereas ours are one solid piece until after the MAF section.
