Aem Cai released!!

What up fellas?? not sure if this a repost at all but has anyone checked apex's site lately? they got Aem's CAI in stock!! 264.00. states that it gaied 9.3 whp, the injen generated more did it not?? anywayz.. if all wasn't aware, its ready!! i just might pick one up.

Any intake isn't going to net decent gains unless boost is increased. Like for instance say a 150WHP stock msp puts an intake on and now gets 155WHP for a 5HP gain.

A 165WHP MSP @ 10psi puts an intake on and now gets 175WHP for a 10HP gain.

Not exact #'s just throwing some stuff out.

An intake upgrade on a stock MSP is more for the sound...and they sound pretty awesome.

If you're going for HP gains, get a downpipe as your first mod. Around the same price range as an intake, and will give a decent kick.

Probably will sound the same. There are hardly any differences between the two.

All my previous experience's with AEM have been bad.

None of my AEM intakes or Friend's ever fit nicely.

They always rubbed somewhere and ended up putting a hole into the intake and/or filter.

My friend has an AEM intake on his EVO and the filter rubs on the hood. AEM keeps sending out new filters as replacements because of the fitment issue and there are a bunch of posts on evolutionm.net about others having the same problems.

I don't know, I say stick with injen ... Everyone else has them and they work.

both are the same imo. go with which ever one you like both will show just about the same gains. I love my injen though!

Could you let me know when you guys do that? I like the AEM... I wanted the red one.

I got the DP, custom 2.5", one piece pipe back to the stock muffler. Going to boost at around 9 or 10. So I'm hoping the CAI will help out a little. What do you think?

i don't have any pics of it right now... it looks just like the injen. i belive it sits a little lower in the engine bay. the pipes are closer to the fender. mind you i haven't got to compare the two intakes. you can't make it into a shortram for this reason. the filter will be hitting the fender and you won't have a place for the IAT sensor.
