AEM boost controller and gauge

has any one seen or tried this boost contoller? price is not so bad for a electronic dual stage boost controller and electronic boost gauge. would make a kick ass pair with AEM wideband controller. only down side i can see is that it doesnt read vaccum.

Supposedly it does read vacuum...according to Primo (check out the thread in the AV for sale section)

id say yes it really helps when trying to stay out of boost. ie. 5th gear

i hear this time and time again but dont understand. whats wrong with boosting in 5th gear? im not sayin i do it all the time but i mean once you get up to a certain speed you cant go any faster unless youre under boost in 5th gear.

sry for the threadjack....that is a very nice gauge, itd look sick sittin beside my wideband gauge. when i first saw it on aem's page awhile back i didnt know it was a boost controller to.

the amount of work while boosting in 5th gear will pop pistons in a FSDE, it all has to do with the gearing. If you redline 4th gear, boosting in fifth isnt as much of an issue, but in lower rpm's its very dangerous. I never boost in fifth gear or while the AC is on.

Let us know how that works out, cuz I'm looking for an EBC and if I can get what I want in a gauge instead of having a seperate box on my dash why not!!! And it looks sweet too!

what kinda setup? ive got my boost/wideband mounted under the radio and its angled at me which is awesome. i think that setup would be perfect if i had matching gauges. right now its autometer boost gauge and the aem wideband. ive got an oil press. gauge on the way tho and a metal bracket to hold all 3. they wont be angled anymore but atleast match a lil more haha.

AEM Boost Gauge/Controller & AEM Wideband UEGO Gauge mounted just like yours with Sport_20's dual guage holder that replaces the Radio Pocket. I may bring the radio down and mount them on top. Looks to have better visibility that way....

Try messaging 'Sport_20', he had a GB on custom gauge din holders not too long ago.....

Here's mine, got it freshly painted OEM Black at a Paint Shop about an hour ago....

that or pay 49 bucks at at **********. i think cullen bought a whole bunch of these from sport_20 so they may be identical

ohyea citizenpro, you prolly shoulda test fit it first. bc i had to cut some off the end of mine to make it fit right. i basically got rid of the lip all the way around the outside bc it didnt let it fit flush.
