First some background
I bought a 2011 Cx-7 GX (equivalent to SV or Sport in the US).
The dealership brochures as well as Mazda Canada website state that the car should include the following
Power windows with driver/FRONT PASSENGER's one-touch up and down feature
Power moonroof with one-touch open and CLOSE
The portions I capitalized (front passenger's one touch up/down & moonroof one touch close) are not included in the car.
I advised the dealership and got nowhere (was not surprised), next I advised Mazda Canada.
Current situation
After 2 months Mazda Canada has replied this feature is not possible and their website clearly states all info is subject to change yada yada, bulls***, bulls***.
The Mazda Canada rep accidentally told me would require wiring changes.
The features most definitely ARE possible, they exist in 2010 models and would simply require a different switch and some wiring modifications (googling diy mods even talk about doing it).
Bottom line - it is possible for them to make the change but they obviously feel it is too costly.
They are offering me a $200 gas card to F off and let it go.
Has anyone had experience with a similar situation?
This is false advertising is it not?
How can I fight this? BBB?
Much appreciated!
John
