Advice On Rim Replacement

Hey People,

I need some advice. A pothole jumped in my way a coupla weeks ago. Hit it straight on and immediately started feeling a vibration in the steering wheel. Next morning looked at tire (front driver's side) and didn't see any damage to the rim, but tire pressure low. Filled it and had no problems that day. Vibration was gone. Took it to dealership and they said rim damage. Took it to 2nd dealership, they said rim AND tire damage. Called Goodyear they said they may be able to straighten the rim. Asked if they use high heat as I know that could weaken the metal. They said the guy they use doesn't use heat. He uses some sort of machine that would straighten it and would only use high heat as a last resort. I'm a little skeptical. Don't want to compromise safety, but would prefer to take care of it by obviously paying the lowest cost possible. Dealership is saying $300+ for rim and $200+ for tire. Goodyear said they could straighten the rim for $100, tire: less than $180. In the meantime, the car is performing well and I've noticed no visual change in tire pressure. Any suggestions on how to get this repaired? Thanks people!

How about 4 wheels and tires for $750? That way you have extras! :)
