Advice on how to make crazy HP...

And even though 505zoom is boosting with the stock internals, what other mods has he done to his/her car? I know he has to be running a good exhaust system and some type of EMS or Fuel Management System, right?

One other question, If I get an EMS, how many pounds of boost can I run with the stock turbo and stock intercooler?

thats completely up to you and your car. people have blown engines at stock boost, and some have gone as high as 22psi on stock turbo, ic, internals, w/ no ems like a champ.

has a some to do w/ tuning, and a lot to do w/ luck!

MPI, with extra injectors
MPNick stock turbo upgrade stage 1 or stage 2
Built MPNick tranny
Built MPNick engine
FMIC, hardpipes, with BOV
Ion or GHL Turbo back 3" exhaust
EBC set to 22-25PSI
Some gauges
few other little items

mix it all together and say a prayer and there you have it...

Ok. Tonight, I was driving home from hanging out with my friends and this SRT-4 pulls up beside me. I wanted to race him just to see how I would do up against one so I did. Turns out this wasn't an ordinary SRT-4. That thing hauled ass. When I got a chance to talk to the driver, he said that he upgraded to a much bigger turbo than the stock one and drove away. That did it. So now, I want to know what turbo and engine upgrade I should go with to make some crazy HP. Help me out people.

There, you just beat a SRT-4, plus look better while doing it.

We have the Regular kit good for 330 WHP, the Big Boost kit with different turbo options ( GT28R, GT28RS, GT30R) that will make BIG HP.

Then you need a built bottom end. Our systems come with the Haltech E6X engine management, fuel injectors ready to bolt on.

You can make good power without spending that much money. You need about $6500.00 to run 12 sec and make 320+ WHP

HiBoost Big Boost turbo kit $4,800.00 (includes Haltech E6X, injectors, GT30R turbo, Tial Wastegate)

Forged internals: $1,200.00

Clutch $400.00

Here is the link for our run with the basic kit. We still are to test the car with the BIG BOOST kit.

The difference now between a GN and GNX is very nill, but you are correct, I was talking about the GN. That being said, same car (for the most part) and you can get one for less than $10k.

I'd have to disagree that the difference is nill.

Buick handed the car over to ASC/McLaren Specialty Products. McLaren added a special Garrett turbocharger, lightweight ceramic impeller, and a better intercooler. A modified computer chip and a low restriction exhuast rounded out the power upgrades. To handle the extra power the transmission was improved for better shifts and the torque converter was upgraded. On the exterior, the GNX got fender flares and side vents that helped cool the engine. The Grand National's wheels were upgraded to 16-inch alloys, and the tires were wider to help put the power down on the road. Lastly, GNX badges replaced the Grand National identification on the grill and trunk. Only 547 GNX's were ever made.

But, yes, a GN or T-type is the cheapest way to go fast. My friend sold his T-Type in the spring and could only get 10k for it. It ran mid 10's to low 11's.

I would buy a built block or forged internals, fmic, 3" exhaust, mpi, fuel system and your going to need a clutch. The stock turbo will get you the #'s you want.
