Adjustable wastegate?

I guess that would mean no one has.
Well if anyones interested...
I think we may be able to turn up the boost while keeping an unmodied appearance.
Though this will be no easy task it just might be worth it when it comes time to have our cars serviced.

Hey im a little new to all this turbo talk....i know that you mean adjust the boost manually, basically right? But how would we be able to do that safely, knowing how much boost is being pushed. I guess you would need a boost gauge for sure then. I dont know if you can give any more info to a guy that likes to learn that would be cool. Later

If you can can tamper with the wastegate without the dealership knowing I can`t wait to buy a boost controller. IF you do this would you please let us know andif possible could you post pics?

please dont **** with the wastegate... that threaded sleeve controls how far the wastegate opens. if you shorten it then youll either get massive spikes or serious boost creep and if u lengthen it then youll be venting too much exhaust gas and lose boost.

PLEASE! if ur not familiar with turbo cars then DO NOT **** with any stock settings!

messing with the wastegate can and almost always leads to engine damage... especially if u dont know what ur doing

youd be surprised at what ive seen people do and then ask "oh really! howd that happen?"

sometimes a direct approach is needed

Adjusting the wastegate is a way to set the "Base' pressure.

These cars can run up to 10psi without hitting a limiter. I would prefer to set the boost with this adjustment rather than spending $300+ on a digital controller.

My suggestion is to adjust it to the point where the stock solenoid based system runs it to a max of 10psi. Make sure you have an A/F and a boost gauge to monitor your changes.
