Adhesive Remover? Damage Paint?! 3M? Goo-Gone?

Does the 3M Adhesive Remover have any affect to the paint or even goo-gone? I am looking to take off my Side molding but I don't want to mess up my paint and the adhesive is being a pain.

all adhesive removers are some sort of solvent so i would say if you want to play it safe just use a warm summer day and elbow grease. your car is an 08 so the tape should be pretty easy to remove by hand. also if you search there are tutorials out there.

I used Goo-Gone and it works fine. So does 3M.

I too use the 3M stuff and it has worked flawlessly.

goo gone would work fine.

i mean, if it works on taking price stickers off cheaply painted toys, i'd figure an automotive clear coat finish would be able to handle it

just remember to wash the area immediately afterward

I used lighter fluid, then immediate wash/wax

dealership left a bad taste in my mouth and there was no way in hell I was going to rep their sticker... esp putting a white sticker on a black car
