So i've had my three for 8 days and my neighbor crashed into the back of my car...so if anyone could help me out i have a couple of questions? How does the whole insurance thing work. Do i have to get a quote and contact his insurance or does the shop do it? I've never done this before. Oh and can anyone recommend a good body shop in phoenix az. Preferably north phoenix. Thanks.

well here in canada, you just call your insurance agency then they will tell you the places in your area where you can bring your car for appraisel. From there they tell where to go rent a car, at their cost.

get that buffoons insurance information. contact that insurance company, and they'll direct you to the body shops they've approved for repairs. Tell them you want a list. Get a quote from all of them. Go with the reputable body shop, they usually charge more. Get the numbers, and go with the most expensive quote you can find.
If there is a shop that does great work for less money than the most expensive qoute; go with that shop, and you'll cash out on some extra cash. Just tell that ladies insurance company that you want to cash out; and they'll give you a check. Get the repairs done, pay the folks, and you get some cash out of it for go fast parts!
That's what i did when i had to take my car in for repairs. You'll get a nice repair job done and pocket some money. That's if you want to go that route. Let us know how it goes.

Once the officer fills out the report he/she should provide you with a report number for you to obtain a copy etc. The report will list your neighbors insurance information so you can contact them in case they don't contact you. In addition to the report "most" officers will exchange insurance information at the time of the report anyhow...
