AC compressor sounds like a respirator.

As the title says, My M2's AC compressor sounds exactly like a breathing respirator or a severe asthmatic, sort of an on off wheezy sound. Is this the normal sound for the M2's compressor or is a trip to the dealer in the works?

mine does the exact same thing (2013, sport, manual). Dealership rolled their eyes at me, especially since I was trying to convince two older males (with higher pitched hearing reduced).

It's very annoying, and aggravating, but their attitude was basically "what do you expect for ad $14k car? Something much quieter. Anyways, I plan to call Mazda direct, even if just to express my disappointment in the dealership, but need to make the time to do it. Let me know if your dealership finds anything.

Could you try to record a video/sound clip of the sound you're hearing?

Xyrth, Thanks for letting me know. I will give it a go at my dealer to see if they turn up there nose at me as well. They are pretty friendly at my dealer so if they say its not a problem I may ask them if i can run the AC on some of the M2's in the lot to compare. Mine is also 13 MT Sport.
