ABS canada vs usa

I have read in the past about the US not having ABS as a standard option but in Canada it has been for a while (except in the rears of trucks but that is becoming a thing of the past as well)

why is that so?

Also by law we need to have daytime running lights up here as well and you guys down south dont but i heard on the news that the US might make it law soon.

Any comments?

My 3 does not have ABS and yes I live in Canada

that's because it only comes on any Sport or Sedan GS with sports package
