Mazda cx-5 touring fwd
Up until 2012, I never owned a mazda.. then I went out and bought the first year 2013 CX-5. It's been a good car. The 2.0 is a bit small but it gets up and moves when you raise the RPMs.

Anyway, currently I own a VW TDI that I'll be 'selling' back to VW in the next few months. I have decided to replace it with the Mazda 3 "S" GT. However, I was not able to track down the car I want. So my dealer says I should be able to order the 2017 in a couple weeks.

Everything I know about Mazda I'm basing it on my CX-5. The new Mazda 3\6 is a big step up in tech and other changes. Just looking to see if there is anything notorious about the newer 2014+ Mazda 3's I should be worried about?

Seems like the fundamental complaints are based on Road Noise and Rust. Nether will be an issue for me... so what else should I be forewarned about?

Thanks

Oh.. the car I'm going to order is...

Mazda 3 "S" GT, 4-door Sedan, Auto
Blue Reflex w/ Parchment interior
No extra packages.

Further research seems to uncover people have had issues with the new infotainment Center. Sounds like the latest firmware updates correct most of the issues. Otherwise I have not been able to find anything that seems to plague these cars.

Hopefully that won't change after I buy it.

Is it confirmed that the 2017 models will offer 4wd?

Nothing is confirmed. My dealer has only been able to order a few touring trims of the 3 .... Most of them look to be made in Mexico. So it would seem the japan plant isn't totally ready yet for the "S" models. The dealer had little to no knowledge on the options, packages, or anything.... Hell I knew more about the car than they did.....of course mine is all based on the japan release.
