Ok I just wanna make sure so I dont go in there and look like an ass. And btw will it maximize the things I already have done to the car? Will the ECU learn to run more power and better with my mods? (cabpatch)

tell them it stumbles at mid range and they will perform the flash some dealers wont do warranty work unless theres something wrong.

The only thing Im worried about is the pinging that can happen once you boost around 9psi after the flash...maybe I should just wait cause Im going with the MPI in a few more months... (headbang)

I'm having problems getting a dealership near me to do the flash, they say they have to have a reason/problem with the car before they can do it, not just because I claim there is some hesitation in 2nd and 3rd gear.

They suggested I leave my car there so they can reproduce the problem, etc. It would make it a big pain in the ass for me, I even called Mazda, and they told me basically the same thing. I don't understand why they wouldn't want to do it, just claim it under warranty, and they will get paid for doing it.... so basically it up to the opinion of joe schmo wheter or not I can get it done after he drives it around the block?

do not get the reflash.

it is better to keep the old program if you are going to raise the boost. the reflash will advance timing to the point where detonation becomes an issue. i believe that mazda did this reflash to slow the msp down in the long run. (mabye so the mazda 3 could keep up). the best thing you can do is invest in a haltech system. because obviously mazda cant design a program worth a s***.

the test msp lost an average of 7mpg on the hwy and 3mpg in the city.

Maybe there should be a class action lawsuit against mazda.
because obviously they wont take care of the air/fuel problem. they know what they need to do but they wont do anything. it affects drivability and performance. fuel economy is pretty bad too.

at the very least we should get everyone we know to sign a list/petition saying we will never buy mazdas in the future or something....if we don't cause a stink about it then they will never do anything to fix it...we need to get their attention somehow......file complaints, etc.....there has to be something we can do....

tell the guy your car runs like s*** and that you almost died merging onto the highway cause your new POS mazdaspeed cant accelerate worth s*** and that if you bought any other f'ing car especially a nissan or honda (they hate that) you wouldnt have any gay problems like this. just go nutz, ull be fine. just think of all the money you paid or are still paying, picture putting ure car in 5th gear at 2500rpm and hesitating and then give all ure rage to the service guy.
