Z ZiO Member : 2002 Protege 5 Mar 22, 2003 #2 THere is a difference between the two.. KN is a guaze filter that NEEDS oil, but the injen DOES NOT need oil... it is a cotton element like any regular filter. Both are cleanable, just like any other filter.
