A sudden change..

bottom line is that the exhaust was a nice hunk of change from my pocket, i didn't want it to go to waste. if it works fine, if not, i hope some miata owner is looking for one. but i don't see it being sold..

it's possible some misreading could have been done here. when i got the exhaust for the LS i remember asking if it was capable of running with turbo, i was told that it goes both ways. we'll see.
don't get me wrong, I'm sure it "works", but if you're seeking optimal HP numbers...

if I was seeking optimal numbers, I'd get one specificly for turbo cars, not something that "works". Sorry, I don't mean to break your heart, or pockets..

But maybe what you have is designed for it, and "works" with N/As which is why it was too loud before?..

no, you aren't breaking my heart, at all. i guess it's up for grabs.
*edit* let me add that of course i want an exhaust to work with the turbo..

anyone want to purchase a m-flow exhaust w/ cat-back less than 5k miles on it? tehehe..

I'm pretty sure he was about to say ...hi-flow cat and downpipe will do much more for flow than just a cat-back alone.

Congratulations on the car! Hot chick in a Turbo Miata...doesn't get much more sexay than that.

Good Luck!

Check out FM's Mazdaspeed MX-5 upgrades...
On the exhaust stuff they say only for the MS. 23hp, 26lb-ft extra.

Well other than the exhaust tone. Do you feel any difference on the ole booty dyno?

My exhaust is 10 times more quite since ive boosted my protege. Believe me, over time you will be happy thats its a nice low growl, other than insanly loud, droning, and ear piercing.

Really, hhhmm. Sorry cant help you.
i derno about you, but the third day (today) of having the car and already putting a exhaust on is a little weird. i don't think i can really tell since the first day i had it i really didn't drive--ok, i did drive it hard, but wouldn't you think i'd need more days on stock to tell a difference?

(i didn't drive it on day 2)

*edit* i didn't even tell a difference on the LS.

I just dont know alot about miatas and there aftermarket support. Your right though. Maybe you still needed a few days to get settled with the stock power. Then you could have noticed a difference with the exhaust. I was running open downpipe for the first 2 weeks I was boosted, and let me tell you, it pulled alot more up top than my 2.25" exhaust now. Im on the opposite side than you. I guess with more supporting mods you will be real happy with the outcome. Not saying your not happy, its clear you are. But, we always want more right?

heh, what's really sad is when you are driving home and all you are thinking is "i want more more more."

i'm a person that is never satisfied, so this might just be a downhill spiral for me.
