A Stupid Women Crash My Car Yesterday

no seriously women do have a problem with driving. whenever they they get the chance they always try to add more make up i was nearly hit by a chinese woman lately..*knocks on wood*

no seriously women do have a problem with driving.

Which is certainly insanely dangerous compared to the driving activities a male is statistically more likely to do:

Speeding, stunting, running red lights/stop signs, driving under the influence, etc... heaven forbid we should want to touch up our lipstick..

Insurance companies don't make this stuff up... does it seem coincidental that insurance is higher for men than women EVERYWHERE?.. men (young men especially) get in more accidents and as a result pay higher insurance. In fact, it raises everyones insurance somewhat, women included, so really, WE should be the ones complaining.. not you.

I'm absolutely sick of this particular slander on women, when there is so much stastical data that proves the exact opposite is true.

man dude ur car...(shocked) that b**** better pay. Yea and get that wheel checked too. Better safe then sorry.

Well i dont really mind ladies putting on make up and all that sutff. Just saying when u hit me, u better some hot as chick, or ull be paying off that insurance for the rest of ur life(wink) lol

I ride motorcycles and at least 8 out of 10 times I have a close call it's 1) a woman, 2) She's in an SUV, and 3) she's talking on a cell phone. Men may cause more damage dollar wise but I'd have to say that women most likely cause more fender benders.

Remember, I log more miles on a bike than I do in a car and people really don't see bikes. I'd say on average someone pulls a dumbass on me about once a week. If they're not pulling out in front of me they're merging into my lane. Pisses me off. Friggin socker mom's!

Just in case you think I'm a total ass, here is some factual defense for women drivers: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/1590309.stm

It's gender discrimination, it's wrong, and you should stand up for yourself and other women. If we don't, how can we expect to be treated fairly in other situations in our lives where women are considered stupid compared to their male counterparts.. being able to vote, equal pay for equal work, etc.

That's essentially what people are saying.. women are too stupid to drive cars properly.. why is this behaviour tolerated? Not only has the claim been proven wrong numerous times, it's an immoral judgement. These types of things wouldn't be tolerated if they were racial based comments, why is it okay if it's gender discrimination?

I understand communities like this one are very male dominated, but you guys all have mothers, daughters, wives and girlfriends. Understand that social acceptance of 'little things' like this makes it harder for women to be treated fairly in general.. Have some respect for the women in your life, and stop encouraging this type of thinking.

Round 1 :: DING ::
lol j/k

I dont really beilieve its discrimnating> i think its more ignorance. Women are sometimes careless behind the wheel. Im not saying all women. Just some. They feel like cell phone talking, applying makeup, eating(yes eating...u know it too) is alittle more important then focusing all ur attention on the road.

isn't funny how most accidents are caused by women, and their insurance is cheaper then ours.

makes no sense.

At least the wheel was not hit. I'd make sure it was not knocked out of alignment though. that's a pretty close hit man.

and for the record. Any woman on this site is obviously not your typical woman and something "special"

Yeah, I hate the whole insurance discrimination thing. But the reason it is cheaper for them is because they don't total their cars as frequently as men do. Women have more fender benders. There is enough proof of this by looking at all the threads with totalled cars on here. Hardly any of them are from women. It still pisses me off though :)

But this is not women specific behaviour.. ok, not many guys are putting on make-up in their cars I hope ;).. but some guys are guilty of the same lack of attension as well.. whether it be cell phones, eating, showing off their cars, etc.. It's not fair to single out women as the problem, when everyone is guilty of not focusing all their attension on the road from time to time.

I'm not saying all women are perfect drivers, I'm just saying that the socially accepted attitude that men can drive and women can't, is both morally and according to the statistical facts, wrong.

The lower insurance rates for women are based basically on three things. The number of claims, the amount ($) of claims and the amount of traffic violations. In each category, women have lower numbers.

What you hear about greatly differs however, because people make a point of mentioning it if it was a woman (and we probably don't hear very much about all of the accidents where people on this board were at fault, aside from the standard denial of responsibility for the accident).

I've never been in an accident with a woman, however I've been rear-ended twice by men (neither of which I claimed btw), and involved in a staged accident where the other driver (male) lied to the police and commited insurance fraud (got caught on both). This obviously isn't a very a large amount of data to base driving abilities on. But my comments are based on the wide amount of analytical data insurance companies all over the world have collected. A much more appropriate base of information.

P.S. I will add, statistics show that around 40, men become less of an insurance risk then women of the same age, but since the typical female slander is an overall generalization, and men are overall a greater auto insurance risk (the risk of males compared to women under 25 grossly outweighs the difference between men and women over 40).. the overall generalization is incorrect.

I've never said that women are worse drivers than men, it's just that women think different than men. You girls should be able to attest to this... Women usually cannot let go of things and concentrate on whatever they have at hand. Instead they usually are hurtling down the road in their Ford "expansion" or whatever and their thinking about cooking dinner, or a meeting, or what they have to do this weekend, or whatever.

I'm married, I know how this works, my wife is a phenomenal driver when she actually concentrates on her driving. Women have the potential to be as good or better drivers than men. They have a lower center of gravity (important if you want to ride motorcycles), and they typically have better fine motor skills than men, both of which would contribute to piloting a vehicle. Men just have a harder time spliting their concentration (proven fact) which makes them better drivers. They don't waste time thinking about the rest of the day while they drive because they're driving.

^man the pic wiht the beamer and the gas nozzle thingy is pretty funny. Guess she was in a rush or something. How can that happen?:D :D
