A Sea of Silver & Gray

A Sea of Silver & Gray

Purchased our new 2015 CX-5 (Liquid Silver) about a month ago. Last Sunday, as we were leaving our church I said to my husband..."look at all the cars that look just like ours!" Most of the CUV's in the parking lot, regardless of make, were various shades of silver or gray. I walked ahead of him and went to the back to get the umbrella out of the cargo area. When I came back, I didn't see my husband anywhere. Then I saw him in a car two spaces down from us. I was driving that day and he just plopped himself into the passenger seat of what he thought was our car! He noticed there was just one cup holder in the center and quickly got out. We had a good laugh on the way home while I was thinking maybe, just maybe, we should have gotten a color that was a bit more out of the mainstream. At least I installed the yellow film on the fog lights - which nobody else has - so far! (We do still LOVE our baby though!)

Your yellow fogs look good. I lived in the Nashville area for 10 years and am currently still in the south (SC), I know all about that bible belt thing [emoji51]

I was born and raised in the town that Pete Seeger wrote the song about: Levittown, NY

The song (Ticky-tacky) "Little Boxes" was written by Malvina Reynolds in 1962. She came up with the song when she saw the housing developments around Daly City, California while on her way to a protest rally in La Honda, CA. Pete Seeger, her friend, performed it in 1963. Here's a Seeger version:

Lot's of artists have done covers. This one is good:

The little boxes may be ticky-tacky but at least:

There's a green one and a pink one
And a blue one and a yellow one...

Now we don't even have that!
