a lil confused

on the mazda motorsport page there the fs-ze exhaust cam and ther is also a billet, camshaft...are they the same thing???...if no what is a billet cam???....any one help me out..thanks

The billet camshaft is not ground, meaning it is basically a round rod. The journals are ground though, journals are where the cam rotates on the bearing, best way I can explain it. This means that you can take the cam to a machine shop and have the lobes (the part of the cam that actually moves the valve) ground however you want them. You can choose both the duration and lift.

Is this something that is easy or recommended? No. Unless you really know what you are doing don't try it hehe.

I am taking pics of all my parts in the next day or so, I will post a pic of the cam and point out what's what.

If you do have the money however, you could opt to send the billet cam to Web Cams in Cali. They can make a custom cam profile for you. Prices aren't too bad either. But yes, if you don't know what you're doing I wouldn't suggest tackling such a task.
