A few performance questions.

:
5 Door Titanium Gray Metallic, Mazda 3
Ok, well I have been thinking about a few things...There are some things I want to do still but don't know what will work and what wont.

1. If I buy the draxas header, can I attach it to my car with a magnaflow exhaust and magnaflow high flow cat?/Will the magnaflow high flow cat fit the draxas header without any mods?

2. If I can and it fits right, with those additions will my car be able to pass emissions testing? If the Magnaflow cat is to much to deal with and I get the draxas one and put that and the header and cat on will the car pass emissions testing then either?

3. As far as a clutch and flywheel is it a better idea to do them together as a package? Or...can I do the flywheel first and do the clutch later.

4. If I do the flywheel, will my clutch have any kind of problems or will it go any faster just cause the flywheel is lightened.

I think those were most of them... anyone who can help me out your words would be a great help.

Thanks

Yes, yes, and yes. But, there is currently a fitment issue with the header(due to low clearance between the header and the steering rack). Draxas is currently working on an updated header.

If your state has a visual inspection it will definatly fail as it removes the first cat, but if you have the second cat installed you'll probably pass a sniffer test.

It isn't better or worse to do them togeather, but it does save alot in labor charges to do them togeather.

If it's made correctly and installed correctly you won't have any issues.

ok well i guess that about summed it up, thanks alot. I just want to do everthing right...and want the best out of my car. Ssinstaller I know you live in NC and just wondered have you passed emissions? or do you not have it in your area? Cause I might be moving there and just wondered...I think I might go withthe draxas highflow cat too...

If your thinking of the mazda speed clutch. Not a bad idea however you will end up paying $164 extra for the throw-out bearing as it doesn't come with the kit and you should replace it when you replace the clutch.

The release fork is 115.46
the pilot bearing is 5.06
Both from showcase mazda http://www.mazdapontiacgmcparts.net/

the part number for the Release fork is: L30116530A
Pilot Bearing: Yf0911303

Do you need any of those items for the spec clutch or do they come with those other parts? I just ordered my spec clutch and FW so if I need those items I think it would be good for me to get them before I get all ready to get the install done
