I'm looking at getting a Injen Hydroshield for my Mazda CAI but cant quiet figure out which one is the right one:

Hydro Shield Fits 5" Filters with the Following Dimensions
Ships between 08/17/2007 - 08/20/2007

* 6 1/2" Base
* 8" Tall
* 5" Top

Large Hydro Shield Fits Filters with the Following Dimensions

* 6.75" Base
* 5" Tall
* 5" Top
* Or Fits Injen Filter Part: X-1015 and X-1018

Medium Hydro Shield Fits Filters with the Following Dimensions

* 6" Base
* 5" Tall
* 4" to 5" Top
* Or Fits Injen Filter Part: X-1011, X-1012, X-1013, X-1014, and X-1017

Small Hydro Shield Fits Filters with the Following Dimensions

* 5" Base
* 5" Tall
* 4" Top
* Or Fits Injen Filter Part: X-1010 and X-1020

My measurement of the filter don't quite match those listed , hence the confusion. So I was hoping someone might have one of these already installed and can help me out with the right choice.

Second question - I noticed that the install instruction mentions torque specs for a few of the bolts used during install. In particular:

- The MAF air sensor bolts = 7.1-10.6 in-lbs
- Hose Clamps = 26.6-53.1 in-lbs
- M8 nut ( secures intake pipe to bracket) 62-92.9 in-lbs

I dont own a torque wrench so my question is this -is there a rule of thumb that i can follow for bolt tightness in lieu of using an actual torque wrench? The rule of thumb being something like - tighten until hand tight...

This will be my first mod so I am a bit leary about deviating from the instructions so Im hoping for some feedback on this.

Thanks,
Aaragon
