Here are a couple of suggestions how about we add a couple of more sections to the forum for example:

Newbies- This would be a section for the 1st timers.

Detailing - This section would deal with everything having to do with new cleaning products and how to keep your ride spotless.

Troubleshooting- This section would deal with people who are having problems with their car so instead of posting where it might not be seen here everybody can come to check and help them out.

Links- This section would just be a section for links for products on our cars.

Polls- In this section we could place all the polls so they are easier to find.

and last add a for sale section on non-car related things like cell-phones and t.v.'s or whatever crap your trying to sell to get money and hook-up your ride.

So what do you guys think??? opinions and suggestions are welcomed I think this would be really helpful if organized right.

I'm going to reference this thread in the staff forum...these suggestions are definitely worthy of discussion. Thanks!!

Here are my personal opinions on each new section idea:

Newbies - Don't really see the need; each model-specific forum (MSP, 3rd Gen, Mazda6, etc.) has its own 'Lounge & Welcome Area'.

Detailing - This would be a good addition as a subforum of the Appearance forum.

Troubleshooting - This could be good for basic troubleshooting info...especially if some knowledgeable members write up some basic info to be stickied (like how to track down a possible vacuum leak, understanding what kind of brake noise is normal and not normal, etc). There are much more problems that aren't model-specific than those that are.

Links - Could probably do without, or just have a sticky thread in each section that includes all the pertinent links.

Polls - Don't see the need for this. Most polls belong in off-topic, or are model specific.

Miscellaneous For Sale Section - I definitely agree this is needed. Separate the car-related sales from all the other crap people are trying to unload :)

Thanks justin for taking this under great consideration I'am sure if implented correctly it would be a success.

Bumped in the staff forum as well...this fell out of discussion when a bunch of other things came up.

What would you think about doing the "Troubleshooting" forum as a subform of the Howto Section.. We could Rename the the Main forum to "Troubleshooting and How To's" the two are going to be pretty inline with each other.

That's an awsome Idea (thumb) I know it would help a lot of people out.

Ok. We are working on the "Junk Store Forum" and the "Troubleshooting Forum". the troubleshooting will be much easier to get started than the junk store...

I don't know if we need a whole forum for links but it might be a good idea to ask the moderators to keep a sticky updated with links in the car specific forums.

Awsome (thumb) I thought about another section what about a Photoshop Section where members can show off their art or you can put in request for people to photoshop wheels on your ride, change color, tint windows, drop it, etc.... what do you think kat ?

I think the photoshop section would be good, but that it might be pretty inactive.. We need to get some more opinions on this.

Our Junk Store forum failed the review process. Even if people are buying and selling at their own risk, there's still huge potential for making the sight look bad. We had this problem before we started using AV's and AMM's and we'd almost have to do the same if this was possible.

BUT, honestly, Ebay has as many benefits for the seller as it does for the buyer. I think that using ebay will still be the best market... but i don't see a problem with posting a link to your item in the forums.
