A Couple of Questions from a New Protege Owner

So I was wondering...

Can the keyless entry "beeps" be turned off and on? When I first got the car I had the standard 1 beep for lock/2 beeps for unlock, but ever since disconnecting/reconnecting my battery, it no longer beeps.

Is there a little knob on the driver's floor to hold the floor mats in place? And if so, does anyone have a part # for it? I haven't been able to find it.

For the mats, yes there is a little metal piece but I don't know it's #

I have an extra floor mat hook you can have for the price of shipping. I bought one since my car didn't come with one, then I later found the original one under the carpet under the seat when I was running power to an amp.
