I was on the way to work this morning. The A/C is set at 68F auto with no Dual. Whenever I make a left turn, the front passenger side vent (particularly at the foot vent) is fully blown? (dunno) Now I wonder if there is a level sensor to trigger that? Any ideas?

Get the blower relay tsb done (for free if still under warranty), if you have already had that tsb taken care of (front and rear relays) then I have no idea. (Technical service bulletin for blower motor relays for front and rear blowers that have a mind of their own, but now have been redesigned)

I thought the blower relays are related to when the car is shut off and the blower is still on? I have a different issue. Either way, I will replace my "old" relays to the new ones and see if that helps.

yeah, but I would think that for "out of control" blower motor speed, it would still have something to do with the relay.

I agree with helbigtw.
Take care of the A/C relays first if you haven't done that already.

So I paid extra attention after work with the radio off. The blower noise turned out a tank of water waving left and right behind the glove box. Stopped by the mechanic and he said something is clogging at the A/C for the water to escape. He said have the A/C off in the meantime otherwise it will leak.

Too late, got home now and discovered a pond of water on the passenger's carpet. The water is dripping underneath the glove box. I will take it in first thing in the morning and get it fix. Will update once he finds out more.

I spent 6 hours detailing the interior this weekend. Great. (hand)

I also found out when I turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, there's some sort of clunking and rubbing noise at the wheel. He said it's probably the ball joint and the axle. He's awesome.

Just like what Lindyrect said. The hose was clogged so water couldn't escape. The mechanic drained half a gallon of the water and cleaned up the hose. It's running normal again.

I don't think a manufacture will make a recall if it's not safety related.

Which dealership did the work? Laurel or Alexandria?

I don't go to dealership once warranty is out. haha I have my own indy mechanic. He did it for 70 bucks. That also includes my other problem which was the heat shield rubbing the rotor...

I wish I had looked at this earlier this week ....Fan noise upon turning left started....Last night noticed passenger floor soaked..grrrr Thanks for the posting I now can assume that nothing was spilled in my car and can guess that there may be a problem with A/C hose..

After reading this thread I notice that majority of the issue is with the 2008 Models. Has anyone had any similar issues with the newer cx9 models or has it been corrected over the years.

i had it happen in our 08 2-3 months ago. they fixed it under warranty. but said it was a maintenance issue.

Maintenance issue on whose part? I sure a hell did not see it in the maintenance schedule and who the hell gets under their car and pulls a heatshield off to jam a coat hanger up there to clean it out, or is there some maintenance hatch. Please stealership get a clue.
