The whole Bejamin Button title was thought up last night when I was half asleep typing up a much to lengthy intro. Something along the lines of getting this car away from the "nursing home community car" look like, to a prime kick ass build! Anyways, I bought this car to replace my totaled CRX, and just decided i'm going to hang on to it for a project this week thanks to a lot of your threads!
Anyways. It's a stock '99 Protege LX with 153,XXX miles
I braved the cold at work today and gave her a much needed bath so you guys weren't subjected to the gut juice some drunk guy left me on my rear door, and the dirt that likes to believe it's the community paint finish for anything that braves the roads, and that's what you're going to see in the photos.
I know my plans are vast and are going to change daily, but here is a list of the more imminent goals. Also, feel free to share ideas please! I've seen a ton on the forum already, but I'm always looking for more.
-New Valve cover gasket and Paint job for the cover
-Stock alloy wheels on Monday from a friend
-Door Trim Delete
-Lower
-Eliminate the crazy amount of body roll
-begin collecting parts
-And get some damn floor mats
Interior is in pretty great condition! It was spotless as of a few days ago, but due to my lack of floormats and the horrible weather it isn't as impressive anymore...
And the engine bay can use a little bit more love.
