Is there an online manual on here I can't find? I did search and only found threads for 01+ cars. I tried to remove a headlight, took 2 top phillips screws off and 2 10mm bolts out behind the corner light. What am I missing and are there any tricks to getting these out (IE tilting, jiggling, sliding, popping out, etc..)?

No, he was asying you need to remove the bumper to remove the headlights. The bumper removal is easy. Remove the grille (2 bolts) and then find all the bolts underneath the bumper going around the outside rim of it. And make sure the fender well lining is disconnected form the bumper as well. O ya, there are two bolts that connect if to the frame also. These are directly underneath the grille about 12 inches back. Been a while since I took it off, that should be it tho. LOL, someone correct me if I missed something.

nope ucmp3 couldnt have explained it better, nice job man, its very simple should take you an hour at the most to find all the bolts, screws, plastic clips(theres 1 on each corner)and the plastic cover that goes underneath and then slide the bumper off , (word of advice, be careful with the tabs on the headlights if you break one it will mess up the headlight alignment) i took mine off last month to be able to take off the fog light covers and be able to get the screws that were holding them in place, i added some projector fog lights with 8000k hids, looks sweet, bright as hell too !!!!! have fun !!!

I didn't take my bumper off to remove my headlights. lol I simply clarified how to remove the front bumper. (lick)

well i learned the hard way, i tried it one time without removing the bumper and it cost me , ended up scratching the crap out of the top of the bumper, cause the tabs on the headlights themselves, were to big to clear through the small opening i was making, idk must be a 99-00 thing, doesn't bother me to take off the bumper its cake once you get the hang of it
I just didn't completely remove it. Only had to remove the passenger side headlight tho. So didn't make sense to take the entire bumper off.
idk all i know is that its worth the time to do it right and just remove the bumper, its really not hard at all you need a 8mm socket, phillips screw driver, and a clip puller or flat head screw driver and a 10mm for the license plate and holder.
The bolts underneath are 8mm? I was thinking 10mm... And who needs a front license plate? lol
yeah the bolts/screws for the under body wheel well plastic are 8mm or a phillips screw driver, there are two or four(i dont remember because they dont exsist on mine anymore) 10mm bolts under there as well. And here in NH you need a front plate, its a nice size fine if you dont
YAY! I finally got around to getting the new headlights in. I actually got crafty (lazy) and didn't need to remove the bumper. The chrome strip at the top of the grill was all pitted and peeling so I took off the grill via some plastic plugs and 2 screws if I recall. I sanded, primed and color painted the chrome part of the grill. I'll get some pictures when I put the grill back on, hopefully tommorow. Once the grill was out, (5 minutes) took about 20 mins to get the headlights out. If the grill is out, just pull out a bit on the bumper parts that come up along the inner side of the headlight, use a shallow 10mm socket, remove. Pull the corner light off, and those 2 10mm bolts. Push down on the bumper under the headlights and wiggle it out. Fitment of afermarket lights is so-so, but I like the look better, and they aren't sandblasted (yet). The bumper and paint seem to be flexible enough to twist and turn a bit.
