I got a 97 millenia and its getting fuel but no spark replaced distributor tested crank and cam sensors (all within specs) wires are good battery is good (will crank and crank no fire) checked /replaced all fuses checked relays everything looks good also checked ground wires. Any ideas whats wrong ive basically come to conclusion its one of the computers
pcm ecu tcu
does my car have all these? what are esssenital functions of these computers. what do they have to do with spark/injector operations. is the pcm the same as ecu or are they built in together.
feel free to post any ideas are helpful at this point my car has been in shop now for 2 months after i tested all the above... me and shop are totally clueless. this seems to be common problem from alot research ive done..please any ideas thank you(scratch)(scratch)(scratch)
p.s. also the shop told me if i bought a new computer for my car it would have to be reflashed to work for my millenia? is this true even if it came out of a wrecked or salvaged millenia would it still need flashed
