I'm noticing a clunk coming from the front driver-side wheel when I am turning into a steep incline or coming down from an incline to flat ground. Generally speaking, it occurs when the suspension on that side is very compressed and the wheel is turned either direction. It may do it with the wheels straigt, but have never had the oppurtunity.
I recently (within the last year) replaced the axle shafts on both sides, replaced the swaybar link on the drivers side and put new struts on both sides.
I had a similar sound, but more of a frequent clatter than clunk, coming from the front end several months ago and found the swaybar link to be worn to nothing and replaced it. The sound went away.
I've pulled the wheel off and cannot find anything wrong. I've tugged and pushed on every joint and nothing feels the slightest bit loose.
Any ideas?
