Hello everyone, I am a retired european mechanic, but people still ask me to try and help them with their car problems. This is my first time posting and would appreciate any help, any of you, might be able to provide. As of late I have come to distrust the test information contained in auto repair manuels, and like to confirm the accuracy of it through a second source whenever possible. The test I'm running is on the Mass Airflow Sensor. The information I have says to backprobe the center wire, and that with the key on I should have a reading of 1 to 1.5 volts. My meter read .5 volts. There was no change with the engine running. Is this test procedure correct and are the specs given valid numbers. Thanks for your time.
