929 tranny

does anyone know wht bolt pattern the 929 tranny is? My question stems from the fact that I need a RWD tranny for a possable project involving a V6. I was wondering if either the SHO or the Duratec V6 would bolt onto the 929 tranny.

I didnt know the 929 was rwd. I thought it was fwd.

The 929 has an FR layout.

If google is right, 5-speed manual trannies on the 929 only came on 89 and earlier models, after that it was a 4-speed auto only.

the SHO used a yamaha designed v6 and a modified ford transmission

SHO used a vulcan ford 3.0L push rod V6 that yamaha made improvements on.
