if so can anyone give me some websites or info?

thanks in advance

its got 135000 mi on it, and it still runs like its off the show room floor

i was owned by an old lady till march of last year when it was bought by a girl who babied it, its got all the recipts from anything done to it from an oil change to the new clutch

im looking for simple mods such as intake and exhaust, turbo may come when i decide to build another engine

im looking at one of those intake airfilter adapters to elimenate the airbox and i would like to find a smog legal header or any header for that matter but i cannot find anything

does n e one have any weblinks they can post or know of any shops in socal i can possibly visit?

Their is some things you can do. You can go to autozone and buy yhe adapter to fit your vain system for like 20 dollars or so and get a good air filter wont notice much from it sur looks pretty in that engine bay. Pacesetter makes a header which you can get at www.nopi.com. Unorthodox has a underdrive pulley for that car I had it on a turbo probe and a non turbo probe. What I noticed more from the underdrive pulley is in the high end which was what I was looking for. I personally felt more of a difference withe underdrive pulley on the NA then the turbo though. You also could but MSD universal wires and crimp them yourself it is pretty easy. That is what I did. I also had a MSD 6AL but you wont feel much from that. That engine kept in good shape with 135,000 miles is still great and worthy of upgrades. The F2 2.2L is know to go upt to 230,00- to 250,000 miles without problems and that is with the turbo engine. Anyways I know alot about the cars ( trust me I have two tubo manifold w/injectors, non turbo manifold with injectors, non turb throttle body and turbo throlttle body, cylinder head trainy, etc, etc, all in my closet, well now my camaro) )if I can help you with anything let me know. Oh yeah you can also put the msd coil on that car might not notice much but with that many miles will probally get better gas mileage and deffinetlly a better spark (should be able to get that for $35 dollars)

Peace

what is the diffrence between the turbo 2.2 and the NA2.2?

could i just get the turbo stuff off of a turbo2.2 and install it on my NA using the turbo, manifold, ecu and injectors?

thanks

ECU no, Turbo and stuff yes. Compresion is different but still low. Turbo 2.2 has a 7.8 compression ratio. Non turbo has a 8.6 compression ratio. Go to probe talk .com. Their is one or two peopl that just put the turb on a non turbo. Kind of like our cars you will just have to do the tuning.

i forgot to ask, are there any companies that make a disk break convrsion for an 88 626 or would i have to get the rear break stuff off of a newer modle with 4w disk?

i ask this because i dont know how to lock up the rear end while driving for whel i am rallying and such, does anyone know how to induce a drift with the tiny drums that came stock?

thanks in advance

Your best bet is to go take them off a gt. It is cheaper that way and not hard. Instructions are on I think performanceprobe.com, if that web site is not it. I will get back to you in two to three days since I am not home rite now with a web site that will give you awalk through with what you need and how to do it.

what performance parts will work off of the MX6, i cant find any exhaust for my car but i can find it for the same year MX6 with the same engine

i have found so far a cat-back, under drive pullys, suspension components, and a slew of other MX6 performance parts and i have found pretty much nothing for the 626 with the same exact engine

can n e one guied me in the rite direction?

No.

Well it'll bolt up, but all turbo related sensors won't work. You'd have to tune via FMU. Upgrading from 220cc to 330cc injectors would require the use of some electronic fuel management such as s-afc. But yes, it will bolt up iirc.

They all should work, the only thing I am not sure about is the exhaust as long as it is the same size and length it will. Also I have the unorthodox underdrive pully. If you want it I will sell it to you for $80. It is in blue. Headers will work probe - mx-6/626 are the same car. same suspension and everything. I know people use strut bars off of mitsubishi eclipse and second gen [probes.(notsure if modifications need to be made). Also I heard but am not sur the mx-6 GT of years 90 -92 has a rear strut bar check it out it should fit your car. I heard the rear makes a ton of difference on those cars.<!-- / message -->
