IF we did do a 80mm downpipe (S-pipe) we would probably go with a cast piece due to the tight bends. IF we did do this it will be a while until it would be ready, as in months after the 80mm exhaust was ready.

The idea was to do a j-pipe back system in 80mm. The problem I have been looking at is going from a stock or even a CorkSport S pipe to the 80mm is a pretty big jump in pipe diameter.
Option 1 is a 65mm S pipe flange connection and 90 degree bend then flare to 80mm.
Option 2 is a 65mm S pipe flange and jump straight to 80mm. Just trying to squeeze the 80mm pipe into factory stud pattern will be tough.
What does everyone think?

We are building a test product. The final decision on the turbo connection hasn't been made yet. I should have an date for the test part in a week or so.
We are planning on 80mm everywhere.
When I put up the post originally the thought was a oil pan back exhaust in 80mm for $450.
I will be able to be alot more clear on the price when we get the first sample finished up.
Thanks

it's actually cheaper to make your own.... a whole 50 dollars in piping for the dp...
yeah but you have to get it fabbed up, and taking it to a shop will cost quite a bit in labor for all the bends and different angles
I'm making all of mine... borrowing a welder from work. and it's increadably hard to make tight bends like the S-pipe, mine will be one 90 degree turn, and 2 45's
yeah, but to make a dp for the stock set up, you have to account for the fact that the turbo is not perpendicular to the block, so making a perfect fit will be a b*tch
