Well, I'm currently living in MS. But, I'll be up in VA for the month of Sep. I've got some pretty basic parts I need to get painted so I can throw them on my truck before I have to head back down here where I have no access to my good tools.

So, if you know of any good shops in the Hampton Roads area, please post them up. Contact info. would be a plus. Oh and it would be nice if the place is actually some where you had do work for you or a friend. Not just some place that you've seen an ad for.

Parts are: grill shell, air dam, roll pan and a set of rims all for my truck. Body work is minimal. Basically the roll pan just needs some minor finishing and the rims need some corrosion/brake dust damage sanded off. As for the paint, it's just a truck, so it doesn't have to be show quality. Just match my truck's black and lay a smooth coat.

I posted another thread along these lines about a year ago, but my life got turned upside down a couple of times since then. But, things are back on track and I really want to get these basics taken care of.

I really appreciate any recomendations you all can provide. I'd like to get in contact with the shop before I return so I can get a ball park on price and see if they'll have time to get my parts finished with time for me to throw them on before I have to head out. Thanks.

I go to Stock or Modified in Va. Beach. (757)301-8490. The owner is a real cool guy and does all the painting. Pm me if you have anymore questions.

I don't know rick or jeff at stock or modified. Joey bought it back in march from the previous owner and has been getting all my buisness since then.

Thanks guys. I'll definitely give Joey a call. I really appreciate the help and I'll let you know if I come up with any questions.

Haze, I think you were gonna direct me to Stock or Modified last fall. I apologize for not getting back to you. Like I said some major issues came up.

Rick and Jeff do great work and are known by a lot of people. A lot of the people on Drag/vadriven use them and say great things about them. Rick did/does all of my work. But regardless, everyone at stock or modified do great work and I highly recommend them.

do they powdercoat?

i have some rims i was interested in getting a different color...

or do you guys think paint and a s*** load of clear coat is ok?
