600 for protune?

500 for mine at IAG (P&L tuner)
paid half up front as a deposit.

I beleive 500 is the norm, I think thats what Akuma in NJ charges as well.

Thats high. Race roots is doing mine for 200 and they know what they are doing.

600 would be okay for a really good dyno tune lol . . .

now is that on-line tuning or dyno tuning? 600 for a dyno tune is good. i'm getting my 6 dyno tuned for 550.

andrew, you get what you pay for.. you could come down to maryland to iag and get a great tune from a guy they fly in from california... he's great. does subarus, but i think he does ms3s also..

anyways, you get i think 2 hours on the dyno. if your first tune gets done soon enough, you can get another tune on race gas or meth.. 500.00

pretty reasonable.. the only thing is, they have a mandatory "pre tune check up on your car" thing.. it's worth it though. actually, they have spots opened right now. for .. sometime soon in feb.

Its Jorge Carrillo and he's from P&L Tuning in Chicago (not cali)

and i forgot to mention the pre-dyno check is like 90 bucks... so it will come out about the same.

He mostly does subarus yes, but he's also one of the few tuners in the nation that actually beta tested the AP for Cobb when it first came out.

take that for what its worth.

yes. i was close. regardless.. it'd be better.

someone that knows what they're doing vs someone that seemingly doesn't know what they're doing and thus spending what COULD be an entire day tuning.

i know Jorge, he tuned our ms6 (see sticky in our subforum). for the day, no one on any system with the same parts matched or beat those numbers. he knows what he is doing and i'd trust him with pretty much anything.

that goes for me as well. you spend 10 minutes talking to the guy and you know that he has an understanding about tuning that goes so much further than just creating more power. He treats it like an art form.

and im not exaggerating in the slightest when i say that.

iight, i need to figure out when he could possibly do mine. hmmm

IAG has him tune at the end of every month. so probably the 27th of march is the earliest for ya.

Does P&L etune or dyno or both? I am waiting to speak with them on a tune. i dont have an AP so what are my options?

P&L does AWD and 2WD dyno tuning. they have tuned pretty much anything under the sun, so while they are experts on the AP they are far from pigeonholed into tuning that lone system.

That's awesome. I just didn't want to drop the money for an AP when all I really want is a really good dyno tune. thanks!

Jorge must be legendary lol. there are people that know him (and his good work) from all over. Another forum I am on has a NC subie guy mentioning him and that he does good work. I am very happy P&L is like an hour away =)
