60 ft times!

I'm suprised you never saw the car around SLO, it was reigning Street Race champion for almost a year.

Is there a street racing circuit here?? What do you mean exactly.

There was about 2 years ago before I moved, everyone from Paso, Atascadero, Santa Maria, and SLO met up every week for runs.

Definately avoid the WOT launch. I did that a few times & got crazy wheel hop. I tried one time from idlle & the last time I actually managed to only get wheel spin, but I got a slow time as a result. The one time I did it right, I got a 2.254 60' ending in a 15.69 (car is stock).

Use drag radials. I have a P5 with no other mods than an intake and have a best 2.305 60ft leaving at 5500 RPM. I still get quite a bit of wheel spin, but with a bit more practice with the DRs I expect that time to drop even more.

Do you get wheel hop? I'm not sure what the minimum wheel size the MSP can run is due to the bigger brakes. I'd guess 15s because I think that's what ICan'tRememberYourNameWithTheOrangeMSP has.

Wheel hop is an issue at lower rpm launches for me. I found that dropping the tire pressure to 15-18 psi and leaving at a higher rpm invokes more wheelspin that axle hop. There is still some axle-hopping, but not as much as I noticed at higher (street pressures 30-40PSI.)

I just recently acquired the AWR front and rear mounts (uninstalled right now) in an effort to combat wheel hop when the tracks open next spring. Just hope I can live with the VIIIIIIIBRRRAAAAATIIIIIOOOONNNNNNN the mounts are gonna cause.

I'm a little MSP ignorant...I thought the brakes were the same as the P5, just with a thicker rotor. But I too have read MSPs can only use 15 inch rims as the smallest dia wheel. So they're probably right.

Man, I thought 60' times would be better in this car, I could pull 2.3-2.4 in my MX-6, does the LSD help at all?
