5w-20 vs 5w-30?

I was wondering what the difference was because mistakenly i put 5w-20 on my motor and then read the manual(hand)

20 is thinner. i mistakenly did that also last change ended up changing my oil twice. =X

the weight is the same the viscosity or the slickness of it is going to be less.

ha i wouldnt' go 5000 miles on that, i would change at like 2500 or 3000. with direct injection there is a lot of sheering by the fuel, usually after 5000 miles a 5w30 is more like a 5w20.
