i am looking at a set of rims that have a 53 offset. now this is .5 bigger than our stock rims. would they fit? or what can i do to make them work?
Yes.i am looking at a set of rims that have a 53 offset. now this is .5 bigger than our stock rims. would they fit? ...
No.I've been wondering the same thing as you. I'm going to be buying a set of 18x8 wheels and i'm trying to get as much rubber on them as possible. My goal is a 245/40/18 so i'm also wondering would an 18x8 with a 53mm offset allow a stock MS3 to run 245/40/18 tires?
^^right, I think that's why squabbin is wondering if et+53 will decrease that risk, since higher offsets move the wheels inboard.
Technically, a 53mm offset wheel will increase the distance between the tire and the inside of the fender, but only by half a millimeter, which is negligible. It will not compensate for a 30mm increase in tire width (215 to 245)
1mm more offset isn't .5 bigger. .5 of what?
