I'm the last person to mind a bit of fun but when it starts getting into political views and into other issues that people get fired up about, I try to stop it. People get fired up over a seemingly harmless joke, make a stupid rebuttal, then the other guy gets even more serious, and no one comes out happy. Seen it too many times.

Thanks guys. On another note, 505 said that there's no freebies THIS BATCH. That means free manifolds for everyone next batch!! lol jk jk. Can't wait to see this project done and see people's reactions to it. I've been following this thread for a long time.

Forged or not Dan, with all your good airflow mods I think this would help you. You and I have damn nere the same build and after talking a bit with Rich, he said that's how he got to his 277hp mark on a stock motor.I'll let you know after I take the 626 off and put the 505 on. And yes a BIG 505 window magnet on the CF hood while autoxing would be a great idea! Hmmmm I do have a buddy that owns a sign shop.

It was just a thought and follow up to Dans commit though. Be quiet you unless you want to sale me your newly aquired Dave b rings. O wait you paid like $100 for them didn't you, ouch! Bet they still look kickass though

sorry if I missed it Rich, but what's the timeline for the uncoated, no egr, ones?

Yours is actually the only one that is uncoated with no EGR. Dropping yours off with the other 8 or 9 to Kelly on Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on how quickly he gets caught back up at work after getting back from his band's trip). The engine flange warps a little bit during welding, and needs to be flycut as the final production step. Kelly has a fixture built up that holds the finished manifold upside down on the CNC table, simplifying the setup process for that step. He should be able to crank them all out in a mere couple days.

Hoping that your uncoated one will be ready to ship by next weekend caker. I'll shoot you a PM to figure out the shipping stuff with the hood. Can't wait... my WW makes me want to (blarf) every time I see the cracks/fading. :(

The coater I am using is a place called Kaehr Plating. They have been in the coating business for 55 years, and they do the best work out of anyone here in New Mexico. They will take about a week to 10 days or so from the day I drop the pieces off. Might be faster, but that is what they have quoted me.

I will keep posting updates like this as I get them, but that is the projected realistic timeline as of today. So close now. (rockon)

Is there any chance that I can jump on this??

what the availabilty of one that is uncoated?

The batch 1 GB is closed, and there currently isn't anyone on the list that wants to trade out their spot.

However, there will be 4 pieces available for straight-up purchase after the GB mani's are all out, here in roughly a month. All 4 will be the fully loaded version... 2 will be powdercoated black, 2 will be powdercoated extreme chrome. They will all come with EGR flange/hose/fittings.

Price on those will be $999, and they will be boxed and ready to ship immediately after purchase. At this point, I have 9 people that have shown serious interest in these last 4, so I have to do "first come - first serve" on them.

I would have liked to keep the GB open all the way up 'til completion of this first batch, but I don't think that would be fair to the 17 people who have shown amazing patience and faith in me throughout this whole process. The price increase for the ready-to-ship pieces is there for the same reason.

This way, the early adopter doesn't get hosed by price cuts and product improvements (like they always do with pretty much every other part out there (notcool)). In the end, I want the b1 GB folks that truly made this whole thing happen to get the best deal. (bowdown)

Sorry if any of that ruffles feathers with anyone, but that's how it's gotta be. (strike)

Best bet for anyone wanting in on this right now is to subscribe to this thread and check in frequently for updates. I have a strong feeling that those last 4 won't stick around in my possession for very long once the first hand impressions start rolling in. (rockon)
