Ok...Since everyone else has there toungue hanging out and drool Spewing from their lips..I will ask the first serious quetions.

1.Does the new TB orientation put the TB in the original Stock location?

2. At this point..How long until we can expect these to be available for our grubby little palms?

Looks friggin excellent BTW....My money is ready before the damn testing...just ship that b**** over here..I'll finish welding it up my damn Self!

Thanks for the replies everyone, I appreciate the kind words. Glad to see that you guys are (almost) as excited as I am for this. (rei)

1. Not even close. To get the TB underneath the first runner like stock, the entire design would have to be garbage. The new design still requires cutting the IC pipe, and then using a 45* coupler onto the TB. There is good clearance from the brake reservoir/lines, and there will be a throttle cable bracket on the plenum, so everything will work perfectly with the new location.

2. I am working right now on finalizing all of the bracket designs and locations, and the vacuum port locations. Kelly is working on the injector hole stuff. Hoping to have the working prototype done for this weekend, or early next week. I'll keep you guys posted.

I just hope this thing if affordable when it's released. Cause looking at it right now, I'm guess it's gonna cost and arm, a leg, and some change.

Rich,

Not sure if it was covered or not, but what are your plans on keeping all sensors happy to keep CELs at bay?

Im going to ballpark it now since rich told me this new plenum design is making the cost go up a little bit im going to say the cost is going to be around 700 or possibly a little over. I mean really you cant complain look at the Alumnium manifolds that AMS makes for the evo are 1000 dollars. You cant really cheap out when it comes to a part like this and to be honest when it is released for the group buy id be happy with the price that he gives us. Rich isnt going to make much if anything at all profit wise off this intake manifold. This right here is a once and a lifetime chance for us protege owners to get a quality product designed and built by one of our own. A product that we will proabbly never see produced by any one ever again

Only other sensors besides the EGR on this are the VTCS and VICS. Obviusly they are going to be non existant with this intake manifold. So you would take care of that like you would when you installed a 626 intake mani. As far as the EGR rich has that covered with a very clever design which if it works like it's suppose to and like i think it will you will be able to use your stock EGR line with it,but dont quote me on that im just going off past conversations with Rich.

VTCS and VICS are mainly what I was referring to. If you were to use a 626 mani, what would you do for those sensors?
