505 Intake Manifold COMPLETED!

Sent a PM to Antoine on Friday, and followed up with another yesterday, still haven't heard back. :(
 
Alright just got off the phone with Kelly, and he is wrapping up the final stages of his overtime work... he is hopefully getting back on the revised plenum floor tomorrow.

I will be getting the welding bids tomorrow, and will be able to figure the exact final cost by mid-week.

The only hurdles left after that is to make the fixture to hold down the manifold for the injector hole machining, cutting out the EGR flanges, making the vacuum blocks, making the injector mounting brackets, and then welding it all together.

Things will be going faster and faster as we approach the finish line, thanks to everyone for being so patient thus far, it will more than pay off in the end! This thing really is going to turn out freakin awesome!

I hope so man, a lot of time has gone into figuring all this stuff out. Can't wait to hold this thing in my hands and throw it on the car. I can already tell that it will outflow the stocker by a HUGE amount (not that it is too hard to do that, the stocker truly is junk in that regard, lol).
 
I don't know, I heard from a few sources that the 626 mani is well over hyped.
Well...considering what has been proven on a dyno with it....for the money its shows to be a good mani.
I would LOVE to hear your sources on this.

And you also have to consider one important thing..the 626 mani..is made for a mid size family car..not a performance one...so Its nice there is something out there that does give gains for $300.

"The man" said it doesn't do s***. and this other dude was talking about how he dynoed both the stock and 626 mani and it didnt gain 1 hp.
 
yeah but then agian ken has dyno's proving it does make hp but its in the upper rpm range and also the guy that didnt gain 1 hp he acutally lost 1 hp and it was on two different days and TWO DIFFERENT DYNOS. i mean dynos are different in everyone you go to. if you went to the same one on two different days it could make a hp difference in the single digit range.
 
Ok..Nuff discussion on the 626 here...we can start another thread on that if you guys like and want to "Discuss"

Rich is still rockin' on bringin' a bad ass Mani to the table for dinner...and I for one, am Starvin'!
