THE REASON IT IS SO CHEAP IS BECAUSE THE GEL COAT IS VERY OXIDIZED...
STILL VERY STRUCTURALY SOUND. NO CRACKS NO NOTHING. WEIGHS 8LBS

Don't want to ruin anybody's day here that might be interested in the hood, as am I, but can't that just be wet sanded down to get it looking decent and then spraying a few coats of clear?

The reason I ask, my girlfriends hood for her cougar looks just like that, a VIS hood as well, and thats what I had planned on doing.

MSP2024, I've never wet sanded a hood before. Can you give me some pointers so I can *try* and fix my hood?

High grit, dip in water, even pressure, 100% wash off, then buff, and clear.

should i get a rattle can of clear coat or does it have to be a paint gun?

Depends if you want it to look like poo or not. I have yet to get clear coat from a rattle can to look great and last as long as really automotive clear coat sprayed with a real gun.
