umm no, wet shot has nothing to do with drilling the intake manifoldLinuxRacr said:Dry Shot=nitrous shot into your intake piping, before the throttle body to mix with the air, possibly making inconsistant mixtures in each cylinder.
Wet Shot=nitrous shot directly into your intake manifold with fuel into each intake track after the throttle bodie. Your manifold will have to be drilled and tapped for each nitrous/fuel jet.

How is it fake horsepower? (huh)

Cause you don't use the engine to make HP.

Cause you don't use the engine to make HP. You take a NOS car and a turbo car. 1st you can really only spray for 15 sec or so. 2- Can't rev limiter very often. 3- greater risk of blowing your motor. It's just like " hold on, let me turn my bottle on before I race you"![]()

So would you concider n/a engine "fake horsepower" too because the engine doesn't make the air or the gas to burn? Why would you want to spray for more than 15 seconds anyway, its just for drag racing really, if you need to spray more than 15 seconds to make it down the quarter, then the nitrous isn't really helping you.. But i understand what your saying
NOS for street use is, :bs:

No I wouldn't consider a N/A engine fake HP. A N/A car make it's HP internally. Pistons, headwork, intake manifold, exhaust, etc. Yea I agree NOS is good for drag racing. A lot of Full racers use NOS to spool there turbo out of the hole. A T66 is reallt hard to with a low compression B18. , ect. NOS for street use is, :bs:

are you kidding me
this thread has turned into the worlds largest misinformation posting board .
where are you coming up with this nonsense. we are trying to keep this info on here as specific and FACTUAL as possible. raz, this must be a joke or something. stop please. you are talking like your high on crack and like to comb barbies in a dark room with your imaginary friend.
holy sh*t i cant beleive...................... i need to breathe now ill be back soon........................
you need to slow down and READ EVERY WORD I HAVE POSTED. if you need me to space the words out for you let me knowRAAZ227 said:
What the H*LL are YOU talking about. Just stating my opinion on NOS!!! What is SO informative about it!!! NOS plain sucks. So your telling me that DRAG Hondas (which I own) dont use NOS to spool out of the hole. Go to a drag race and take a look buddy!
:wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
Also since no one here has a full race P5 or MP3 , then.....what else are they gonna use NOS for???..........uhhh......street use!

""your not using the engine to make hp""
was this my comment or yours?
this forum is supposed to provide accurate information to its members. your opinion is fine . but when you start to talk about the operation characteristics of a 4cycle internal combustion engine you are starting to play with proven facts.
let everybody go thru all your posts on this thread and see what im talking about. you are posting misinformation. i am not calling you stupid but it is iggnorant when someone is trying to tell you that your theory isnt quite right and you then continue with the nonsence without any verifiable proof of WHY IT IS AS YOU CLAIM.
and did you SEE A POST FROM ME SAYING """ NO THEY DO NOT USE IT TO LAUNCH"
your mind is running around in circles to fast and your not paying attention.
"" fake horsepower"" come on man![]()
listen go open a thread in the performance section about NOS and wee will discuss it so we can get some of these myths out in the open. im serious . because you are wrong in some of your assumtions. this is not to put you down , but it will help you understand things a little better![]()
but were not debating turbo or nos create your own thread and argue that point. im not telling you your right or wrong with that theory. we are talking about wet or dry nos right now . so keep it to those posts. make another if you choose to add more to it.thanksRAAZ227 said:
The whole statement was towards NOS. How NOS is sprayed via direct port or dry set up. All your doing is hitting a switch (throttle activated or button) that triggers a relay to spay the liquid in the intake mani, or b/f throttle body. The reason why I don't like NOS is because it's inconsistant power. Turbo set ups are driven by exhaust and supchergers are driven by belt via crank.(everyone knows that) With is turbo and S Charger being that way it just feels more raw.

its about time you made an appearance on this threadacidbbg said:Both Wet and Dry Kits Shoot into the intake!! Nitrous is not cheating...The people who say it is are pissed b/c you can get about the same horse power with nitrous for not even half the Price!
Anyone want to compare numbers...Nitrous is the best hp for the dollar!
It's only cheating if you don't tell the person you are racing that you have nitrous!
NOS = Nitrous Oxide Systems...NOt Nitrous!! Get it straight!!
I am not downing anyone who gets a turbo...if i could afford one..i would have gotten one instead..but i am a college student..and this is better for me..b/c i don't have $3,000 for a sweet tubo system!!!
Do Not Use a Dry System w/ the protege's...Wet is always better!!!
