The 4th Annual Dyno Day is now looking for a new date

**EDIT** 6-14-11 I'm in talks right now with the shop owner about working out a new date, once i get a new date I'll post it up here and we can go from there

costs will be as such:
$45 for 3 pulls on the dyno
$5 more for 1-2 1/4 mile (we can do 1/8 pulls instead if you want to be a bit easier on the cars)
$10 for lunch

So:
$60 if you want everything
$55 for 3 pulls and lunch.
$10 for just lunch.

ok, so now its getting closer the time and ive decided to set up the "meeting points" there will be 2 of them (one for the PA guys and then one to meet up with the OH guys)

the PA meeting place will be at the same ITT parking lot (exit just before green tree coming from the ft pitt tunnels(10 Parkway Center, Pittsburgh, PA 15220) i plan on arriving around 8:00am and leaving the first meeting place at 8:30 so if your running late you get left behind and can just shoot up 279 or 79 and meet us in cranberry

the OH meeting place will be in the same large Parking lot right behind the old Krispy Kreme store where we met last year (20125 Route 19, Cranberry Twp, PA 16066)
we should be arriving at that location around 9am and will head out of from here no later than 9:30 so we can get to the Dyno around 10am

As long as the date does not conflict with a Corral or NASA event, We're in.....I'll have some 2011 Mazda Calendars, Mitty Posters and some other goodies for ya

i did as much searching as i could and picked a patch of dates that should not interfere with either NASA or Corral events, but i gave 6 options just in case i missed something so vote :)

Mitty is April 30 weekend.
VIR is May 14th.

Those two are out for me.

I took the 23rd, as we'll have the NASA Event on the 9th and I want to rest after a weekend of racing.

then don't for April 30 and we wont have to worry about it (or since your a mod, edit the poll so its not included haha)

i just posted all those dates so the 2 or 3 most voted can be taken to Mike and be like these X amount of weekends would work best for us, which works best for you??

Other than the two dates mentioned, any day should be ok. Carlisle is in the mix too... but I don't know if I'm going.

Any weekend day works for me. I'm fine with April 23rd, but I voted for May 21st because that way I am done with school and everything is out of the way.

I'm down for Mazda day. Any thing in late may sucks for me. Both my wife and daughters b-days in late may. So, even though it will probably be cold and rainy, again, Anything in April works for me.

so just got some news from Mike (OST shop owner) with an interesting wrinkle for something we could add to the dyno day this year, here's his message

"Something else you may want to consider. We have been running 1/4 mile and 1/8 mile pulls on the dyno and found it to be extremely accurate all the way down to high 8 second cars. I was skeptical about it until this using it quite a bit this summer. It is usually accurate withing 1-2 tenths and usually dead on the number (60' times are low due to the sticky dyno rollers so you need to account for the actual vs dyno). You may want to offer up some type of 1/4 mile challenge/Gamblers Race where the lowest ET takes all." -Mike

so you could do 3-4 dyno pulls and then do a simulated 1/4 mile run that would be pretty accurate to what you would actually run at a strip, which i think is pretty cool

would anyone be interested in that?

I voted for late May so I would have my swap all debugged and the new clutch broken in by then. And the 1/4 mile drag sounds fun too.

Yes to the 1/4 mile dyno runs

Whats the price/#pulls w and w/o 1/4 run ?

I'm in the work of adding some mods so a dyno would be nince, what dyno type is it ?
