the b&m retains the stock knob.... the CAI makes the coool suction sounds but nothing like a turbo spool.

I'd go with the Shorty, stock knob, and an intake. Nice little upgrades all within your budget and I'd give the nod to Corwin at protege garage. These guys got me a set of springs in a matter of a few days and matched the lowest price I could find on the web.

how much for the kartboy shifter? and the Shorty Shifter? and where can i find them. just bought a used mp3 knob and i found out that i dont have the stock shifter.

What is the shorty shifter? I know for a fact the Kartboy doesn't retain the stock knob, it says so right on their site. And 20% reduction is shift throw doesn't seem to significant to me. AHHH what about the B&M, what knobs to people w/ B&M have, I just want a leather knob.

The kartboy shifter can be found on www.kartboy.com and runs around $90 or so. the "shorty" was just me referring to any shortened throw shifter which would include the B&M, the TWM, and Kartboy. There are tons and tons of threads on the forum on this matter that have great comparo's and you can get all the info on each with a solid search.

yea sorry about that i forgot that the mp3 knob wont work with B&M, I cant beat kartboy's prices on kartboy stuff... Thier all great shifters. Ive only had experince with the B&M but id say whatever you choose you will not be dissapointed they are all a great improvement over stock. Intake is a great starter mod and if it for your dad hell prob love the better MPG he gets. Hope he recovers quickly.

Thanks. I'm getting the Kartboy, I ordered the bushings from them already. But I was reading posts that I searched for, can people post thinks of their shift knobs that they have on the Kartboy SS? I might just end up going with the Kartboy knob, but if somebody here has a better shift knob that looks pretty cool that resembles the stock one some, I'd get that. Does the MP3 shift knob from corksport fit the Kartboy SS? I am going to call Kartboy Monday to find out what size their shifter is M8 x 1.25 or M10 x 1.25. Thanks again.
